This installation embodies ideas of memory and how memory emerges into consciousness, and perhaps may also gradually dim again. The sound in the installation is the recording of the trains the artist heard as a child passing at the bottom of the garden.
A sash window suspended in the exhibition space becomes a metaphor for the threshold between our inner and outer worlds and acting as a prism between past and present.
